It’s been around for a bit elsewhere, but now Beemer owners in Malaysia can spin the propeller a little differently by heading down the BMW Individual path.

With an emphasis on high quality and exclusivity, BMW Individual offers a discerning clientele - which means you - the opportunity to personalise their vehicles beyond the standard equipment, though in this case, there are only four specific model types you can do this tango with.

What there is is this: a choice of select BMW Individual paint finishes, unique leather upholstery, exclusive interior trimmings and technical functionality as well as alloy wheels.

In terms of paint finish, the BMW Individual paintwork is more than mere colour; featuring five layers of coating, with the last layer containing colour and special effects, the finish is unique in that it comes with an intriguing iridescent effect courtesy of a fine pigmentation coating that creates ever-changing nuances and depth in the paint finish.

Colour choices for BMW Individual are:

Ruby Black metallic and Azurite Black metallic, which contain Xirallic for iridescent glitter effect and extraordinary colour brilliance.

Moonstone metallic, which contains titanium dioxide that generates shade effects that vary the colour between blue and white.

Diamond metallic, a Variochrome paint colour that showcases dramatic changes in tones between red and gold.

Blue Onyx metallic, which contains black pigments that are larger, making for an elegant mirror-like effect.

Malachite Green metallic, which contains a seemingly endless number of green hues, reminiscent of the malachite gemstone.

Midnight Blue metallic, where the pigments contained in this finish create an iridescent effect with a multitude of dark blue hues.

As for the interior, BMW Individual Merino leather fittings provide a natural and exclusive atmosphere inside the BMW Individual product range. The thick leather has great texture, and is only put through a gentle tanning process to enhance its natural characteristics.

Additionally, the materials and colours that make up the BMW Individual Interior Trim are matched to suit both the BMW Individual leather colours and the BMW Individual exterior paintwork.

Different wheels too ..

Two optional fine wood trims of Walnut Amarone, which provides a sense of warmth, with its dark ruby red colour, as well as Piano Finish Black, which uses traditional piano lacquer technology to create a high-gloss surface, are available. The fine woods are hand-sorted to ensure exclusiveness.

The new BMW Individual compositions are only made available for select model variants, namely the BMW Individual 750Li, BMW Individual 630i Coupe, BMW Individual Z4 3.0si Roadster and BMW Individual Z4 3.0si Coupe.

BMW Individual 750Li

Bi-colour is the name of the game. Seen here, the 7 Series interior in dual-tone finish.

This one comes in the optional colours of either Carbon Black metallic or Stratus Grey metallic with choices of attractive BMW Individual Merino leather upholstery in Ecru Light and Gold Brown as well as BMW Individual interior trim finishers of Piano Finish Black or Ash Grain Dark.

In addition to the Individual paint finishes and Individual leather upholstery, the vehicle also comes with a bi-colour sports leather steering wheel, special floor mats with leather piping, BMW Individual roof liner in Anthracite and new 19-inch star-spoke light-alloy wheels.

BMW Individual 630i Coupe

In blue onyx, no less.

Here, there’s a choice of Ruby Black metallic, Malachite Green metallic, Azurite Black metallic, Blue Onyx metallic, Moonstone metallic or Diamond metallic finish.

Interior wise, the Individual 630i Coupe gets BMW Individual Merino leather either in Syrah Blue, Polar Grey, Platinum, Champagne, Rust Brown or Black as well as choices of BMW Individual interior trims in Amarone Walnut or high-gloss Piano Black wood to match.

The car also comes with added features in the form of BMW Individual leather steering wheel, with a wooden ring intarsia, BMW Individual roof liner in Anthracite, door sill finishers with BMW Individual designation, 19-inch BMW Individual light-alloy wheels and BMW Individual high-gloss Satin Chrome Black.

BMW Individual Z4 3.0si Coupe / Z4 3.0si Roadster

Feeling a little midnight blue?

In order to emphasise the lines and the merging concave and convex surfaces of these designs, BMW designers developed choice paint finishes of either Ruby Black metallic, Midnight Blue metallic, Carbon Black metallic (BMW M Special paintwork) or Phoenix Yellow metallic (another BMW M Special paintwork) for the exterior.

Interior wise, both Z4 models have superior soft Nappa leather instead of Merino leather. The colour choices offered are Nappa leather in Champagne, Caramel, Amarone and Syrah Blue.

If you prefer a sportier perspective, the Z4 can be had with New England bi-colour gloss leather upholstery in colour choices of Phoenix Yellow/ Anthracite, Dark Estoril Blue/ Anthracite, Silverstone/Anthracite and Imola Red/Anthracite.

Sweet in caramel …

BMW Individual Interior Trims come in extravagant soft nappa or optional Piano Finish Black with leather interior trim with matching upholstery and Piano Black wood high-gloss respectively.

Also available for both Coupe and Roadster are 18-inch BMW Individual light-alloy wheels, door sill finishers with BMW Individual designation and, for the Coupe, a BMW Individual roof liner in Anthracite.
